Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 12th. Just over two and a half weeks away. I feel like people really struggle with what to get their wives or mothers for Mother’s Day. I get it – I’ve been there.
So, let me start by saying that these gifts listed are suggested for mommas of younger/school age children/teenagers. However, if you have children that are in college or are adults now, my number one suggestion is that your wife or mom wants time with you or her children! Maybe a fun night out just the kids and mom or a ticket book for a few “date nights” a year with each adult child.
The list below can be a little on the pricey side. However, if you are looking for cheap ideas for your wife/momma, be sure and check out my list of Top Five Inexpensive Gift Ideas for Mommas.
5. FabFitFun Gift Subscription Box
The gift that keeps on giving. Each quarter she gets a new gift box full of fun goodies to where she feels like it’s Christmas four times a year! This is not an ad, this is something I genuinely look forward to and love – not to mention I’m blown away by the contents every time. Get $10.00 off your first box here.
4. A Girls Night Out
Contact her closest girl friends and get a date on the calendar for her to have a girls night out, whether that includes a nice meal out with friends and dancing after or if that is getting the kids out of the house for the night so she and her friends can hangout in their pjs drinking wine as late as they want. The important thing – schedule it for her. Most mommas think of things they would love to do, but never actually get around to scheduling it.
3. Shopping Spree
Give the woman a few hundred bucks and take the kids and send her on a splurge for herself. Let her decide if she spends it on clothes, shoes, jewelry, makeup or whatever!
2. The Spa
Anything from a massage, a facial, a mani/pedi to an entire weekend getting the full treatment.
1. Weekend Away (No husband or children allowed)
Give that momma a break. It doesn’t have to be fancy, as long as it includes a big, comfortable bed, quiet, mimosas (optional) and no kids. Bonus if it includes spa, friends and a night on the town. Must include at least one night and morning away and sleep in without a kid jumping on them.
