Did you even know that there was such thing as “Banana Pudding Lovers Month?” Me either, but I’m excited for it! I am pretty easy to please when it comes to banana pudding. Growing up, my mom would make a super simple instant banana pudding. I never wanted those puddings with meringue on top, those were too fancy. Just the super simple, instant stuff was perfect for me.
So, as a nod to all those mommas out there that need it to be kept super simple, this ones for you.
Happy “Banana Pudding Lovers Month!” This recipe is as close to my mom’s as I could find. My mom would leave out the whipped cream completely.
Easy Southern Banana Pudding by Kraft
3 cups cold milk
2 pkg. (3.4 oz each) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
30 vanilla wafers
3 bananas, sliced
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed (optional – we left this part off)
